MA Scholarship – Immersive Media: Music, Immersive Technology & Creative Innovation
In partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, MusicFutures is offering tuition fee support to explore the future of music, digital culture and immersive experience.
Are you interested in exploring the future of music, digital culture and immersive experience?
We are offering a funded tuition-fee place on the MA Immersive Media programme at Liverpool John Moores University for a UK/Home student whose interests connect music, creativity and emerging technologies. We are particularly interested in applicants from industry, creative practice or interdisciplinary backgrounds who are looking to develop their practice, experiment with new technologies, or explore new directions within music and immersive media. The opportunity is particularly suited to applicants wishing to study part-time alongside professional practice. The MA Immersive Media programme encourages experimentation across immersive storytelling, XR, sound, digital interaction, AI, spatial media and creative technologies.
Projects might include:
- immersive or interactive music experiences
- VR/AR performance environments
- spatial audio and sound design
- AI and music creativity
- immersive storytelling and digital culture
- music-focused gaming or interactive media
- accessible and inclusive immersive experiences
- sustainable approaches to digital and creative practice
This is an opportunity to join a growing creative and research environment connected to MusicFutures, an AHRC-funded initiative supporting innovation across music, creativity and technology. MA Immersive Media graduates have gone on to work across creative technology, immersive production, digital storytelling, exhibition design, interactive media and freelance creative practice.

- Applications will be reviewed by a panel
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview
