STAGECAST: An AI-Assisted Production & Audience Engagement Platform for Grassroots Music Venues
Arts Bar Baltic is developing STAGECAST, a new digital platform that helps grassroots music venues capture live performances more easily and turn them into audience-ready content. Built from the realities of running busy venues, the project brings together live capture, automated workflows and simple content management so staff can record, process and share performances without specialist production teams.
The R&D phase will strengthen the current prototype by improving the workflow between venue, artist and audience. It will test how STAGECAST Capture can work with existing venue infrastructure, how STAGECAST Hub can organise and deliver content, and how the system can stay practical, affordable and portable across different grassroots settings.
STAGECAST is designed to help artists leave a performance with professional-quality recordings, clips and promotional assets that can support future bookings and audience growth. For venues, it offers a scalable way to document events, extend their reach online and build a stronger digital presence without adding unnecessary complexity.
By making live content creation more accessible, STAGECAST aims to strengthen the visibility, resilience and long-term sustainability of grassroots music venues and the artists they support.
The STAGECAST project is one of six SME-led projects awarded funding from the MusicFutures Innovation Funding Call to develop and scale new products, services or experiences across the music sector in the Liverpool City Region.
